Helping clients figure out their macros starts with understanding their unique goals, lifestyle, and current dietary habits. I begin by assessing their body composition, activity level, and overall health to determine an appropriate calorie target. From there, I calculate their macronutrient ratios—proteins, carbohydrates, and fats—based on their specific goals, whether it's fat loss, muscle gain, or maintaining weight. I educate clients on the role each macro plays in the body, helping them understand why protein is key for muscle repair, why carbs fuel energy, and why healthy fats support hormone function. I also ensure they have a clear understanding of portion sizes and how to track their intake accurately. Finally, I provide them with tools and resources, like food tracking apps, to help them stay on track and make adjustments as needed for their progress.
